How to Add Hyperlinks to your PowerPoints

Hyperlinks make an Engaging PowerPoint even more interesting and interactive.  They also save instructional time.  Before I discovered them, I would run to my computer, find the needed URL, paste it into the search bar, click, and wait until the site appeared.  While my students… grew impatient and began to talk.

Using your PowerPoint as a base to your lesson, insert the hyperlink to access any online activities, videos, google docs, online Prezis, PowerPoints, or any online resources and voila!  Seamless lesson plan.

You can use text or an image.  For text, type a title.  Since I want to look up, “Relative Pronouns” I will type that in.  Or, insert an image. I inserted “Los pronombres relativos”.

Go back to your PowerPoint, and click on your text or on your image.  Look up and find “Insert” on the top of your screen.  Click on “Insert”.  Then,  click on “Hyperlink”. (On the bottom of the list on my computer)

(Make sure the PowerPoint is open to “slide show”)  You should go right to the site you have chosen.  If this helped you and made your life easier, email me at: altespoir@sbcglobal.net.  I’d love to know! :)
