French Passé Composé Speaking Activity
Students talk about events in the past, speaking French for the entire period. Have you ever wished you could multiply the teacher’s presence in a classroom of 30 plus students in order to give your language learners more opportunities to hear and speak the language? This activity provides eight more teachers and keeps students communicating in French for one or two entire class periods as they proceed from one station to the next asking and answering questions.

Used as a culminating activity after teaching the “passé compose,” Eight Stations thoroughly cements the use of this past tense and other related vocabulary in the minds of the students. It can also be modified to reinforce any grammar or vocabulary concept.

In this video, three of my students demonstrate how the activity works. You must imagine seven more stations in the room with three or four students at each one and pretend they are speaking French, not Spanish. (Audio was better with only one group)
