Description
Students will learn to talk and write about past events using the French irregular verbs, and some regular verbs in the passé composé with the helping verbs avoir and être. The French story uses the irregular passé composé many times in context for comprehensible input. Digital versions are included for 1:1 classrooms and distance learning.
This Passé Composé Irrégulier TPR Story PowerPoint is a fun way to learn the past tense in French because the silly story grabs the students’ interest. It is about a teacher who loves Snickers. Even though she does everything she can to hide her extra-large Snickers from her students they keep finding it and eating it. Finally, she manages to keep it for herself but then has a bigger problem.
The story repeats the French irregular passé composé of the following verbs: être, mettre, venir, voir, aller, and avoir. Students recycle the verbs in context by rewriting the story, changing only the underlined parts.
