This Spanish Subjunctive Digital Escape Room is a super fun Breakout Game and great practice for the Spanish Present Subjunctive. Students must follow the clues in order to escape from the zoo. La Sala de escape para el subjuntivo provides students with comprehensible input in Spanish in the form of a mystery picture, a video, and an illustrated story. Students follow five clues and do the activities. They must answer the questions, watch a movie, put a puzzle together, read an article, and complete the sentences choosing the correct form of the verbs in order to get out of the zoo. Students may work in pairs or individually. Great for online or distance learning! This task should be assigned after teaching all the present subjunctive including doubt, emotions, desire and implied commands, indicative vs. subjunctive, one subject vs. two, conjunctions of time, subjunctive vs. infinitive, and adjective clauses.

  • Clue # 2: Students put a puzzle together and read the clue in the puzzle.
  • Activity #2: Las conjunciones de tiempo: Students complete the sentences with the indicative, the present subjunctive, or the infinitive.
 
  • Clue # 3: Students are instructed to read the article and answer the question, “¿De qué trata el artículo?” They then click on that animal.
 
  • Activity #3: El deseo y los mandatos- Students complete the sentences with the correct form of the subjunctive.
 
  • Clue # 4: Students read the article again and click on the word indicated.
 
  • Activity #4: Students watch a video and answer comprehension questions writing the answers as symbols.
